Chemical peel

Chemical Peel helps exfoliate and remove the outer layers of dead skin, revealing smoother, brighter, and more even-toned skin underneath.

A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing treatment used in medical spas and aesthetics to improve the appearance and texture of the skin. It involves applying a chemical solution to exfoliate and remove the outer layers of dead skin, revealing smoother, brighter, and more even-toned skin underneath.

How Chemical Peels Work

  • A chemical solution (such as glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or trichloroacetic acid) is applied to the skin.
  • The solution causes controlled exfoliation and peeling of the top layers.
  • The skin regenerates, producing new collagen and improving texture, tone, and clarity.

Types of Chemical Peels

  1. Superficial (Light) Peel

    • Uses mild acids like glycolic acid or salicylic acid.
    • Targets the outermost layer for gentle exfoliation.
    • Ideal for dull skin, mild acne, and fine lines.
    • Little to no downtime.
  2. Medium Peel

    • Uses trichloroacetic acid (TCA) or stronger glycolic acid.
    • Penetrates deeper to treat wrinkles, acne scars, and pigmentation.
    • Mild peeling and a few days of downtime.
  3. Deep Peel

    • Uses phenol or high-concentration TCA.
    • Targets severe wrinkles, deep scars, and sun damage.
    • Requires a longer recovery period (up to 2 weeks).
    • Results last the longest but should only be done by a medical professional.
